Introducing Mare Nostrum - Empires!
Play as one of five leaders of the Ancient World: Caesar of Rome, Hammurabi of Babylon, Cleopatra of Egypt, Pericles of Greece, and Hannibal of Carthage as you strive for Cultural, Military, or Commercial dominance of the Ancient World. Recruit Heroes and create Wonders, expand trade caravans, build cities to collect taxes, construct temples, and build the Pyramids to display your stature in this world and the next!
Academy Games and Asyncron Games are proud to introduce their newest game: Mare Nostrum - Empires. In it, you and up to four friends will attempt to lead your individual empires to greatness and glory.
The game board represents the Mediterranean Basin, separated into Provinces and Sea Zones. Each Province includes Resources, plus Caravan, Market, Temple and City development spaces.
Gather trade resources to build heroes and wonders to expand your economic power. Goods are gathered from caravans and Markets during Phase 1 and traded with other players in Phase 2 each turn. The Trade Leader establishes the structure of Trade each turn.
Heroes and wonders are recruited or built during Phase 3. Mare Nostrum includes a number of such Heroes and Wonders, each providing a specific benefit once recruited. In this phase the Cultural Leader chooses the order in which units are built!
In Phase 4 move your triremes and legions to influence neighboring provinces or attack your enemies. The military leader decides in what order players are able to move and attack!

Mare Nostrum Atlas Expansion
Once again the prophecies come to pass: the Atlanteans, lead by their King Atlas, are determined to assert their dominance on the Mediterranean Sea. Lured by the prospects of war, new heroes such as Chiron the Wise and Pegasus the Spirited appear. Their unique capabilities may curry the favor of the gods on your Empire.
Prove your military prowess, your devotion to the gods, or your economic influence to gain powerful bonuses such as new military units, divine interventions, and rewarding economic events.
You may also play the Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage in the exciting two-player mode.
The five included expansions to Mare Nostrum - Empires merge History and Myth into one world. Your time has come to make your achievements worthy of Legend!
